Termination of AddThis Services was created by Lyr!C
Oracle has made the business decision to terminate all AddThis services effective as of May 31, 2023. Read More

This decision was announced in April, but i didn't get any information from AddThis before one user of iCagenda informed me on 3rd June...

All code associated with AddThis is therefore removed and iCagenda's social sharing is currently discontinued until a new solution is offered.

I truly recommend to update iCagenda to version 3.8.18, in order to remove obsolete code used by AddThis integration.

In the meantime, you can use a third-party extension for social sharing ( JED ) or use the sharing functionality of your site template if it includes one.

Sorry for the inconvenience beyond our control.

Cyril

Hello,

Only admin logged-in see the message in frontend side.

About admin side, did you have turned it off ?
In all cases, open and save global options, and it would disable the alert message.

Best regards,
Cyril

Yes I turned it off on admin side. I did not saw that I was logged on the browsing side. Tested and effectively, it doesn't appear to non-admin.
Tank you for quick response.

And if you open iCagenda component Options, and save it, does it turn off too the message for you when logged-in as admin? (it should ;-) )

I know this post is old but only just a few weeks ago i got the notification. so since you can no longer use event list to view events created as i am assuming that is what social sharing is, does that mean all of icagenda is not useable?

Hello,
I don't see what you're talking about?!?

Addthis was only an option integrating the service of social sharing with iCagenda events.
You don't need it for iCagenda to work.
And there's plenty of other extensions available to include social networks sharing as well as site templates directly having this possibility.
So nothing related to iCagenda.

Best regards,
Cyril

For example, I click on submit new event. Then, once the new event is created, I go to list events to see the event. But I just get that error message. And I can't see the posted event.
