Hallo!

Clemens

Hello,

I'm sorry, but could you post in English forum ?

I will have to close this German forum, as no user seems to give help anymore...

When looking at screen shot, you may have a conflict with an other extension.
But as i don't read German, i can't help you...

Thanks for your comprehension,
Best Regards,
Lyr!C

Hi!
I will try it i English again:
I have chosen iCagenda, because I like the extraordinary carefull made design and the very well designed UI. But I am sorry to say, that I have the following problems fresh from first installing:

Preconditions: I have a fresh installed Joomla 2.5.14 with Joomla-SEF active / mode rewrite, caching deactivated.

1.) My website does contain nearly nothing else than the offers with its descriptions. Consequently the descriptions should be found by Google etc. But XMAP, which is used to dynamically generate the sitemap for Google, does not show up single offers, but only the menu items, representing the category of offers.
The Joomla indexing search also cannot index the descriptions of the offers.

2.) Of course, I only want to have bookings from registrated users only. As can be seen in the screenshots, I do not find any settings available for setting this up. I see lables but no fields for settings.

3.) Within all the settings, I did see an standard contract (in German "AGB"). But I have not seen a feature, where to change this text. It would be nice, if I could use a standard Joomla article for these contract conditions, which then optional can be shown within iCagenda, when booking.
Further it is necessary in Germany, to have a checkbox for the terms / conditions / contract, which has to be checked. Only then booking is possible. I have not seen this checkbox.

4.) I often have courses and offers, which will be offered repeatedly within some time. It would be very time saving, if we could have a kind of template of that course which can be copied every time, when this course will be offered again.

5.) I want to use iCagenda in website with flexible width / min width 650px. So I will have to change the existing design iC rounded. First change would be, to not show up a picture for any courses / offers to save that space. How could it be done?

6.) I don't see any prices, which I can associate with the single offers. There should be at least two prices be selectable by customers. I also do not see any automatic billing function e.g. the generation of PDF-bill etc.
Isn't it contained within iCagenda or is it an installation problem, so that generally several basic functions of a booking service are not available in my installation here?

7.) Just now I see a new strange thing, which is there, since installation of iCalgenda: The text color in all the tooltips in the backend do have the color white! This was not the case before installation of iCagenda!

My conclusion at this point: It is a beautiful designed Joomla component with a efficent UI. But actually it is not usable for me and I need hints to get it to work.

Your idea, that there will be possibly a conflict with some other extensions is not realistic, because it is a freshh Joomla with very few additional extensions installed.

Kind regards
Clemens

Hi!

First, it's more easy to have on topic for one question (could really help me to answer in a more efficient way...)
And don't hesitate to use search function in the forum, as some questions already there with answers ! ;-)

1) Google has no problem to get content of description. sitemap is not the most important today to get a good SEO (many changes in 2013 in Google search)
About xmap, not yet having tested it... I'm using iGooMap from Google, and no problem to generate a sitemap with all events included !
I will check when time xmap...
About joomla indexing, you will see in roadmap that search indexing and content plugin are not yet implemented and created, so currently, no indexing from Joomla (but will work on it on the next months to come! (no exact date of delivery... as many features to add to suite all possible wishes from the users!)

2) You have a bug or conflict problem! What is your joomla version ? Do you have try to install again iCagenda (as it could be a problem during install...)
First time i see such an issue...

3) currently in dev, so will be added in the next 10 days, when ready ;-)

4) When an event edit is opened, you can use button 'save as copy' and edit only what is needed, or add a date ?... Or i don't have understand your question...

5) Have a look at tutorial videos 'create a theme pack' and 'edit a theme pack' : www.joomlic.com/en/docs/icagenda-tutorial-videos

6) Important : have a look at the roadmap (www.joomlic.com/forum/icagenda-announcem...ersions?limitstart=0) ! It is not a selling feature currently, but a registration system!
Selling tickets is in the roadmap, but will maybe added only in Pro Versions.

7) Which version of Joomla ? Are you sure to have a complete install, of core, or else ?

Really, seems to have somewhere a problem...
This could be server too...

Thank you for your ultra-quick reply!

I have described my Joomla version and installation mode:

Preconditions: I have a fresh installed Joomla 2.5.14 with Joomla-SEF active / mode rewrite, caching deactivated.

Yes I have deinstalled and then reinstalled iCagenda again. Same effects as before.

Thank you for your valuable hints to answer my other questions.

I am sorry to say, that the feature from my question Nr. 6 is mandatory and thus iCagenda is not suitable for my purpose in this time.

I am sorry, that I have misunderstood iCagenda, not having a selling feature implemented. Therefore please forgive me, that I have taken your time for answering my questions!

Adain I congratulate you to the very attractive Design and the well designed, customer friendly UI. I think, your component has great potential and I will keep it on my watchlist. May be I will come back to it later.

Kind regards
Clemens
