Hi again!

Sorry, but i need more information !

What is not working ?
Could you join a screen shot ?

This may not be iCagenda, but a possible conflict, or a problem in install (could be Joomla too!)

Latest version : iCagenda 3.9.8
We recommend every user to keep iCagenda updated.
Don't forget to have your Joomla!™ up-to-date!

I would appreciate if you could take 5 minutes to post a review on JED (Joomla Extensions Directory) .

Hi There
worked really well in Jooomla 2.5 but had issues in 3
So it must be a Joomla 3 compatability thing!!
Regards
Earl

Please, don't reply to notification email, but answer on the forum!

But, i'm sorry, if you don't give more information, i can't help!

And about Joomla3, iCagenda is used on j3 by hundreds of users without problems!
Don't forget Joomla3 is a short term version, with important enhancements and changes, and with many possible bugs (as in the last 3.2.0, having important issues about password, after an upgrade from a previous version because of the new password encryption)

And, this is not because it is working on Joomla 2.5 that it is a compatibility issue!
It is not, but it could be due to your joomla install (is it a fresh install, and upgrade install, from which version ?...)

All this information could help to find the reason!
Thanks!
Lyr!C

Hi
Thanks for the response
We tried the install on 2 different Joomla 3 new websites
Both gave the exact same issue, when you clicked general settings oped up a strange url and not the settings box
However when we installed the same version on a Joomla 2.5 website it worked fine
The major issue for our client though is that your platform currently does not offer paid events. Have uninstalled so unfortunately cannot send screenshots
Thanks
Earl

It is a weird issue...

When you say click on Options, you mean joomla core options button on top right, or the options button in the control panel of iCagenda ?

Thanks!

Okay!

Thanks!
I will try in a fresh 3.1.5 install, but on a fresh 3.2.0, it is working.

For your information, in the last versions of J3, there's often little issues with component options feature, due to changes in database, and core system.
If you are working on a new website, i recommend you better use a fresh 3.2 install, or not upgrade your Joomla 3.1.5 to 3.2, until a 3.2.1 is available, to not have important bugs on joomla password setting.

But, if you have to use 3.1.5, you can upgrade to 3.1.6, with only the security patch added (this version was added by Joomla Team, because of the issues in 3.2.0) :
joomlacode.org/gf/project/joomla/frs/?ac...&frs_package_id=6785

About paiement, this was not the goal of iCagenda one year ago, but as some users which it, i will work on it in 2 or 3 months ;-)

Hope you will find the extension you need for you and your client!
(maybe have a look in "events booking" rather than "Events management" on the JED?)

And, don't hesitate to keep an eye on iCagenda, as i've planned many enhancements, and many developpements are already in process ;-)

Best regards!
Lyr!C

Okay,

After some tests, not able to reproduce this problem, but... this could be due to some server settings in encoding return url!

Thanks, i will add a fix for it in the next release, that i think could solved the problem.

If you want to test this change, i attached to this message the 3.2.5 release of iCagenda with the change in encoding of return url for option button.

Thanks!
