[SOLVED][J3.2.0 is issue] Error Message (click on Link in notification email of submission form) was created by jengar

Hallo,
i am Using Joomla 3.2 / K2 / ICagenda 3.2.6 with German Language and have a Problem :

If i generate a new Event the Program generate the Following Systemmessage and send it to my Email(i try to Translate it from German to English):

Hello JenGar,
to revise your event, click on the following link:

(...)/index.php?option=com_icagenda&view=list&layout=event&id=17&Itemid=505

A click on the Link show this Error Message :

Warning: password_hash():Password must be a string in (...) /htdocs/Joomla/libraries/compat/password/lib/password.php on line 30

After that the Event comes up in the Page.
What could this be ?

Hi!

You may have upgrade your joomla from a previous version, so you have a bug in your password due to the new encryption : joomlacode.org/gf/project/joomla/tracker...racker_item_id=32595

Fixes by joomla team are currently in process and last test, and will be added i hope in 3.2.1.

So, that's maybe why you have trouble!

First, you can try opening the plugin "Joomla user" and select strong password, and save again (as option is not set by default, and give errors and bugs)

Too, have a look at the new Post-Installation messages in component, you will fond some information, and thing to do to make Joomla new system of password encryption working.

In fact, there's many different issues with an upgrade to Joomla 3.2.0, depending of previous versions installed...

This is not easy for users of Joomla, but it is an important enhancement of Joomla security (but with bugs in 3.2.0)

So, for your account on your joomla website, you can edit again your password, after settings of plugin, and two-factor feature, and then it could work again.

If you have a community website, be careful as new users may not be able to login after creating an account, if plugin is not save with strong password.

And... in 3.2.0, password reminder is bugging, and not working!

Keep me informed if you solve this!

And... make sure K2 is compatible with joomla 3.2.0...

Hi and thanks for your Answer,
ich have figured ist out a bit

I have edit the Password Problem a view days before (caous i have Problems with the new User Registers (they could Register but not Login). And i have use this Fix joomlacode.org/gf/project/joomla/tracker...tem_id=32585&start=0 .

And i have make the Change in Joolma - User / Strong Password.

I have pull it on Disabled today for Testing my actually Problem. And the Error wasnt seen. But i cant Login with new Registered Users at this Moment. So i pulled it Back on Enabled so you can Register New ones, but ther is the Error in ICaganeda agin. I have a look a bit for that. But i am Hopefully whait for the new Joomla 3.2.1 and hope that Update will work fine without Problems (Happily i have make an Backup of my Site before i have upgraded to 3.2) But i have make many Changes since that Upgrade

We will see

Me too!

But, about link, you can disable "autologin" option in global options of iCagenda, and the link aftre should work, if you are the user who submit the event, and have rights of approval.

"Autologin" disabled. I have become an Message and if i Click on ist no Errormessage comes along *g*

When 3.2.1 will be available, it would be interresting to do the test again with autologin on, to see if problem is solved ;-)

Hi,

Joomla 3.2.1 is out and installed :whistle:

It´s look alike that the Error is away :=) (with and without the autologon funktion).

Yes, 3.2.0 was a really big buggy version, and really a hardwork for all joomla developpers to solve this (i have participated in testing ;-)

A big brainstorming is currently in process to enhance futur testing of dev version of Joomla.
Volunteers with possibility to set a test website are welcome, and i will in january open a page on Joomlic to inform iCagenda users of this ;-)
