[ROADMAP] Creating Event item / Alphabetical order of drop-down Category list? was created by treyzinbox

When creating a new event either in the front end or back end, the drop-down list shows the available categories in ascending order by ID number rather than alphabetically. Is there a way to get this drop-down list to display the available events in alphabetical order instead?
