[SOLVED] can't show the module was created by Jos
I've been working with ICagenda quite a while, but now I ran into two big problems:

1- I can't get the module to show. No matter what I try, the module won't show up in the front end. It seems to work perfect in the backend.

2- When creating an event I get an error message telling me the event was not saved.
But when I do save it anyway, the event is there.

This is the error message:
Error

Save failed with the following error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1 SQL=SELECT `name`, `username`, `email` FROM `cralk_users` WHERE `id`=

I'm using the latest version of Joomla, Icagenda and PHP 5.4

Hello,

Which version of Joomla ? Joomla 2.5.28 or Joomla 3.3.6 ?

About your issue, could you check the database and warning in extensions manager.
It seems there's an issue in your Joomla install itself...

Best Regards,
Cyril

Latest version : iCagenda 3.9.8

That error message will also appear if you attempt to hyperlink to an article that doesn't exist as a menu options somewhere in the site. What steps are you doing or clicking when you get this error message?

Gentlemen, my apologies for not replying earlier. I was out of office.

I got the problems solved - and one extra. I solved it by upgrading to the latest version. As I am completely redesigning this site, I did a fresh install. The few events I needed to transfer was easy to do by hand.

But now I got another problem: I have a serious query problem. My site will use a Joostrap template. I have to use the Jquery of the template. I have to use a number of extensions that require Jquery, and of course I got conflicts. All of the are solved, apart from one. the iCagenda. I can't find where I can turn off jquery and use the local version of the template.

Is that possible, and if it is: how do I do that?

(Joomla 3.3.6)

On Joomla 3, a template should never load its own jQuery version, but Joomla core jQuery.
This is the same for extensions.

If your template is loading its own jQuery version on Joomla 3, that means :
- not updated template
- bad coded template for Joomla 3

This is a rule on Joomla 3 to follow for extensions and template to load the joomla core jQuery library. The interrest of Joomla 3 is to remove libraries conflict if all extensions are well coded.

In case the template provider doesn't fix the issue in your site template, you can install the plugin jQuery Easy, and activate it to load Joomla Core jQuery library. ;-)

Best Regards,
Cyril
