[ROADMAP] Feature filter module was created by greko2009
I was doing some research in order to build a custom module for feature filtering.

The idea was to have a drop-down with all features and and filter button.

Unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to send the request in order to get the filtered events by feature. (newbie alert)

Would be more than glad to share my module if anyone could give a hint on what request I should send in order to get the filtered events page. It's working fine when adding feature filter to a menu but since I have almost 100 different features to add , it wouldn't be a nice looking menu.

Thanks

Hello,

I won't tell you today how to do, because the way it would be today won't be the way in a few months, because of the full refactory in process to allow a more easy integration of filtering functions ;-)

Thank you for your patience!
Best Regards,
Cyril

Thanks for the reply, but since it will be based on a simple POST/GET , it would be easy to change once the new system is completed ;)

No, as you don't know exaclty what i've planned ;-)

I won't just add a filter system, but i'm refactoring all the database process.
In the same time, i'm changing little by little all the views, and will split some (list will become 3 views).
So, i prefer to have finished the new model for generating the list of events, before to work on the design of filters.
But, if you know a little php, not needed post/get, as i think you mean it, but you can just add a variable to the url and get the value from the icmodel.php file. (and add a query where statement).

So yes, not difficult, but the current file to generate the list of events, is not the same as the one i'm working on in me dev environment ;-)

Regards,
Cyril
