[SOLVED] Keeps saying an update is available even after updating iCagenda language pack

Hello,

in Joomla 3.4.1 the message for an language pack update is still recurring, even after it has allready been installed.

iCagenda - Dutch (Netherlands) nl-NL Language Pack
Update File 2015-05-04100 N/A Site www.icagenda.com/ictransifex/updateserve...L/iCagenda-nl-NL.xml

Could you please check?

Hello,

This was due to a issue in Joomla (now fixed).
Unfortunately, the udpate server for language packs was dupplicated in database.
TO fix it, you can go in Extensions > Extensions Manager > Update Sites (New in 3.4.0)

Then, you will find 2 times the update server for iCagenda language pack nl-NL
Disable the entry with the lower ID, and it should do the job ;-)

edit---If i disable the lower one then both will be disabled.
So i can't disable only one.

Hi!

And if you disable the 2 ones, and then go to update, click on refrech cache button, and then search for updates ?

Or maybe by trying to download again the pack, and install it ?

(Note: in all cases, you can delete the entry from the database concerning the iCagenda update site with lower id)

Hi Lyr!C,

ok removing it from the databse table did the trick!
They had the same extension Update Site ID.

At the same time i also saw the same thing with allvideos extension from joomlaworks. so removed that also.
Strange, i don't know why this is happening, maybe a little joomla bug.
Otherwise the updating itself work good :)

Yes, as it was a Joomla bug, fixed since it was introduced, other extensions could have the same issue ;-)
And database is the easier way to keep it back ok again!

About iCagenda language packs, another solution is to uninstall the pack, then to clean cache and purge update.
And then to process a new fresh install of the language pack. (but for another extension, it will need to fix it in database for update_sites)
