I would like to duplicate the view of the List of Events page in a module. Is this possible? If not, when do you anticipate adding this functionality?

Not possible currently to do so, but i'm planning it as an extra module.
But i don't think i will have time to developpe it before the end of 2012 as i'm still working on 1.3 with registration and new festures about dates.
