Dear Friends,

First of all, I have to admit that your work is very good. I decided to use iCagenda to replace JEvents. I am still on experimental period and I have noticed some things for which I cannot find a solution.

I have put the option at Events List Filters | Filter by Day -> Current and All Upcoming Events.

Immediately all Past events are getting disappeared at Calendar module!!!

Why? Is there any option to keep them showed at Calendar and not to the List at component?

I am waiting to your help and thank you in advance!

Hello,

THank you for your comment!

Why? Is there any option to keep them showed at Calendar and not to the List at component?

So, the reason is that option "Link to Menu Item" in the calendar module is set to "auto".
This option is to check all the menus options for the link to the list of events, to determine which menu link to use to display the event (useful when many link with different settings (by category, past/upcoming, language...)
If no menu is able to display the event due to the menu setting, this one is not display (to keep a clean SEF url, and so a better SEO).

Tip : login in frontend with a super user access, and you will have an info message above the calendar module ;-)

In case your menu alias has a generic name (working both for past and upcoming events) you can change the module option to select this menu ID (it will force to use this menu for all events!)

In 3.6.0 i will add 2 auto options :
- auto SEO : this is the actual auto option
- auto : new one option, which will create a filctive menu item if none exist (the same way joomla articles are working, if for example no menu, and a module to list articles is published, it will return url SEF like this : www.site.com/component/com_content/....)

Hope this helps ?

Best Regards,
Cyril

Note: information about this option will be too re-write for 3.6.0 to give a better info directly in module option.

Hi!

My last question... Where we change the number of events that we want to be shown on List?

For main list of events, go to the menu options, iCagenda Options tab
There you will find an option input for number of events (5 by default).

Hope this helps ?

Best Regards,
Cyril
