I have the same issue.
After installing and adding some events i tried to fill out the register form and hit the "register"button.
I got redirected to a 404 page in Joomla.
message "the page you asked for can not be found"
The last piece of the URL shows: component/icagenda/?task=registration.register

anyone got a solution to this?

Exactly, a "fix" is available, and i will attach it to this message ;-)

But, there's a reason for this issue, so even if it works with fix, it's better to understand that there's maybe other things to do to be perfect ;-)

comsepa wrote: The last piece of the URL shows: component/icagenda/?task=registration.register

If you have such an url, that means there's no published menu item link, of type "iCagenda - List Events" that allows to display this event.
For this reason (and since iCagenda 3.6, the bahavior is the same that the one for Joomla articles), the event will be displayed using the home page.
Which one has no itemid (this was the reason of the issue, the check that Itemid was a numeric faisl when this one was null).

So the version with fix (which one will be included in next 3.6.5 release) works.

But, i recommend for SEO reasons that you check menu items filtering, to have valid SEF urls, and not ones constructed by Joomla default urls when a menu item is missing (of type "component/componentname").

Note: this issue could happen too with SH404 when menu item from SEF urls is removed to shorten the urls. So this fix is a valid patch in this case, and nothing else to do as you have correct urls. But not really correct urls when "component/icagenda" in the urls (which will be solved if at least one menu item allows to display this event (in module "auto" mode for "Menu Item Link" option) OR if a specific menu item is selected.

Hope this gives a bit of more information about why the issue, and how this could have been solved without any patch ?

Best Regards,
Cyril
