'1054' database error was created by adomeij
I get this error message when I try to start the IcAgenda Control Panel.

1054 Unknown column 'e.hits' in 'field list' SQL=SELECT e.catid AS catid, sum(e.hits) AS hits,c.id AS cat_id, c.title AS cat_title, c.title AS stats_label, c.color AS cat_color FROM #__icagenda_events AS e LEFT JOIN #__icagenda_category AS c ON c.id = e.catid GROUP BY c.id ORDER BY hits DESC LIMIT 10

Please help!

Some background information --
'My' Joomla site was hacked and a malware installed itself.
The malware started sending umsolicitated E-mails.
I am running Joomla on a Linux host (virtual).
'My' provider shut the site down and an investigation into how to get rid of the malware started.
Unfortunately the malware was dormant for a long while and existed in enough backups to make a restore from backup useless, to much changes would have to be reinserted.
The 'solution' was to install a fresh version of Joomla and all extensions (including iCAgenda), export the 'old' database and import it to the fresh Joomla. And then copy back all files in the 'files/images' directory after a malware scan on a windows box.

From the error message I am guessing that the 'fresh' version of iCAgenda is a later version than the one in the database, and if I should have been able to update it the DB would have been fixed.... :-(.

Thanks in advance
/Anders

PS iCAgenda version installed 3.5.10.

Hello,

Do you mean you have installed 3.5.10 on the fresh installation, or it was 3.5.10 installed before (with your database saving) and you have installed 3.6.4 ?

The issue i see is having the latest iCagenda, but with a not updating database.

When using a old database backup, you should install the same older version of iCagenda first, and when all ok, to process the update of iCagenda to latest, to be sure the script update the database.

You can check too the folderROOT/administrator/components/com_icagenda/sql/updates/ to check all the database updates process from the version installed in your backup, and the latest version of iCagenda.

To fix it now, would mean to run each sql requests from update files that were not processed, to update your database to iCagenda 3.6.4

Hope this helps ?

Best Regards,
Cyril

Latest version : iCagenda 3.9.8
We recommend every user to keep iCagenda updated.

Do you like iCagenda?
I would appreciate if you could take 5 minutes to post a review on JED (Joomla Extensions Directory) .
