Everything was working fine, and we are using Version 3.6.12.
But today, when I tried to add an event from the frontend of our site and click to submit, I received a dredded "Error: 400 Bad Request."
How can I fix this???

Is it possible to have an online link to the form, and to test by sending a test event ?

And, do you have enable "Error Reporting" in global options of Joomla, in case a php notice warning is displayed ?

Before that, a few things to check :
- Was it ok with 3.6.12 to add event before this issue happened ?
- Or was it ok only with a previous iCagenda version ? If yes, which one was installed before ?
- Do you have update any other extension(s) since the issue happened ?
- Do you have update Joomla before the issue ?
- Which is your Joomla version ?
- Which is your php version ?
- And important : do you have any views overrides in your site template, regarding iCagenda ?

Thank you!

Regards,
Cyril

One must be a registered user to access the form. You may register at www.reisterstown.com. This will give you access to a registered-only menu that allows you to submit an event. The form does appear, but the 404 error occurs when you click to submit the event.

I do not know the precise onset of the problem. It was probably pretty recent as in the past 24 hours as it was called to my attention from a user of the site.

I'm using Joomla! version 3.7.5, which is the latest version. PHP 7 is in use for this site. I don't know the progression of upgrades as I use the automatic features and update whenever I'm told to.

Hello,

Maybe you have another issue, as when trying to access your site, i found a 403 forbidden access page...

Best regards,
Cyril

I really need help with this, and this is the only component giving me a problem. Is it really compatible with the latest Joomla version? My people are not getting 403 errors, but submitting gives 404 errors and you cannot submit from the frontend.

Of course it is compatible with latest Joomla version (test the demo site).

When i said 403, it was when trying accessing the website at the time i tried to (i mean an error on all site).

Now, it seems to work again... but issue while trying to register!

I wanted to create a test site, with a small password, but as i entered 4 digits, the registration didn't work, and request me 5 characters.
But, there's an issue as all information i've already entered was lost! (that mean keepalive and session not working on your site. And that could explain other issues...)

Well... i will recommend you to investigate on your site to find if there's not another extension giving trouble to core Joomla functions.
And to check if you have a SEF extension installed, that this one is correctly set for iCagenda too.

This is not because you have an issue only with iCagenda (but my test that another issue with registration to your site not managed by iCagenda...) that the issue is in iCagenda. So, to know what's wrong, try to disable other extensions to know which one gives trouble. It will be the way to give some useful info to search on how to prevent or patch this issue.

First time you said a 400 error, and now it's a 404 ? This is not the same...
404 is a routing issue, so that's why now i ask if you have a SEF extension installed ?

A suggestion: before to investigate, disable all caching and compression you have on your site (html compression too, maybe processed by your site template... Maybe a good idea too, to test with core Protostar site template ;-) )

Hope this helps ?

Best regards,
Cyril
