Only text type in custom field available, but i've planned to add textarea for iCagenda 3.9 (just started development, so stable release by the end of the year if everything go as expected ).

For no, you will have to use "text" type, and you will be able to edit the custom field to textarea when this one will be available.

Other solution, if you don't use the "Notes" core field, you can override it in admin custom fields of iCagenda, and set the name as you want it

First, welcome!

Other custom fields are planned for the next version 4.0 (previously 3.9, but version change to obtain a more precise roadmap linked to the evolution of Joomla).

I don't know yet, but maybe some of the new custom field types will be available in the Pro version only. (in order to add more value to the pro version to help iCagenda development).

So, this version 4.0 is currently in development (i was focused the last 3 months on the new joomlic.com website, and now that it is live, i can focus back on dev).

I expect first alpha test version (available for pro users) by the end of the Summer. For a release in stable for all in October.
