Yes the search plugin is still there, but will be removed from new install starting version 4.0 (as since Joomla 4, it is the smart search plugin that is best to use)
But if an older version is used before update to version 4 (for eg. 3.9.14), it will still be there.
The core Joomla component search was removed from new Joomla install starting J 4.0, but the component was decupled to be maintain for users who didn't have switch to the more modern Smart Search (com_finder).
Now, i have to decide how i will manage this for older install, but as it is the user to decide if still use of com_search or use of com_finder, maybe i will just add an informative message instead of adding an uninstall script for this plugin...
Note: until 3.9.14, the smart search plugin was only in pro version. It will be in all versions (paid and free) starting iCagenda 4.0

Still a point i have to check for stable 4.0 release, or to maintain the plugin until 4.1 maybe.
