[VIEWED] Issues with Firefox and IE was created by mvaughan
we are running PHP 5.3.21 and have the Icalendar installed but the events page shows up in IE but the calendar does not forward on the arrows. In FF it doesn't even show up at all. The event page shows up blank and is not loading the template.

Joomla 2.5.14, it also did this on version, 2.5.11, we thought updating Joomla would rectify but it did not.

I looked through the forums and found that jqeury might be a conflict, so I installed Jquery Easy, but that made it worse. Not sure if I had the settings correct.

Have a Rt template with gantry, running version 3.1.2 version of Icagendra

Any ideas?

Copy/paste :

Event page, view in FF and then in IE.
ibd-us.com/index.php/ibd-events

Thanks...
Événement page, vue dans FF, puis dans IE.
Merci.

Do you have a link to be able to view the problem ?

This may be a jQuery conflict. And to be able to see the code could be useful ;-)

Bonjour!

I've first have a look on my iphone, and you have a problem with your site template. (error message)
Something in it is conflicting with jQuery script of iCagenda, and i think it is because of the progressive loading of the content.
Do a test with beez_20 template to see if it's working ;-)

Hello!

Thanks to consider that email support is only granted for Pro Users.
And for pro users, i do help via an admin access, to find problems, and why. ;)

In your case, something is blocking from your site template. (i have read your copy/paste mail from hoster, but i've never said it was a hoster problem ! And it's not!)

Too, it's not due to google. ;-)

What i think after some search : your site template may be wrong in reading ic_rounded theme pack of iCagenda, using image in background tags.
So, maybe try first to set default theme pack in menuitem option, to see what happens.

A second test, if first above not succeed : unpublished all events. If then, you see page title, and "no events in the calendar" or else, there's maybe a conflict or problem with event picture.
If you see a black thumbs in admin events list, this is because mime-type is not the same as extension name : for example, a png picture named picture.jpg won't work (test to open in photoshop, you will have an error with such a file) This is because php function to generate thumbs can't work if extension name of the file is not the same type as mime-type.

Currently, i've tested a function to prevent this, but as it it too slow to process, i didn't have implemented it.

Thanks for your feedback on the forum ;)

Having a look at IBD, seems solved about events list display... ;-)

Still calendar not working, but it seems to be a jQuery conflict.
Maybe try to disable compression of script files, and try to install jquery Easy plugin ;)

Hi Lyr!C

i have had the same problem with the not working month change of the calendar after the update to version 3.1.3.
My solution was to correct a link to an event-picture. This was shown as "invalid link" in the iCagenda-Events-view! After that it worked properly. It seems that this invalid link had no influence in older versions of the calendar...

Regards

It is not exactly the same problem i think... But your comment is interresting! ;)
So, it was a broken link to a picture in admin, that made you calendar changing months not working ?

Yes exactly!

Interesting is that the link was already broken before the update to 3.1.3, but there I had no issues with the changing months

Thanks to many users, i'm currently making other test with different pictures, and different problems.
For some, it is depending of the server.
About invalid link, and changing months broken, this may be solved now, as far as i've tested it, but as i will enhance this function, update after update, don't hesitate to inform me, when a new error! B)

Here is my update for this issue on our site...

Changing the code from "hidden" to "visible" made the events page show up in Firefox browser and IE. Not sure why it only affected FF and not IE?

Double checked all links and images in the events section, I turned them all to unpublished but the calendar did not work still. Turned on each event one at a time. Still no luck on the calendar.

I started disabling plug-ins that use jquery and still no change.

I installed jquery easy and went through the instructions and it made the site worse, by throwing off the css for all the pages.

We updated the RT template to the latest version, still no luck.

Updated Joomla 2.5.14 and icagenda to the latest version 3.1.4 and it still does not work.

Changed template to beez_20 and it still did not work in FF or IE.

Will post if we get this figured out.
