My ideas about it? Sure ... I have some ;-)

- Set up an periodical Event with an start and end date for the period and the option "does not expire".

- repetition options: every day, every week (example: every friday), eyery month (example eyery 7th of the month), and eyery year (like a birthday).

But end date has a technical limit because of the today use of date in systems...

PHP and MySQL use something called UNIX timestamps to do date calculations, like determining if a date is in the future or how many days have elapsed since a certain date. Due to the 2038 bug , the maximum date which can currently be expressed is Tuesday, 19 January 2038 03:14:07 UTC.

And i'm thinking too of something like :
from start to end, with a selection of weekdays, every (as it is today), or only on monday and friday (for example) with possibility to select which days of the week ;-)

Did you make any progress on this development? My client would be really happy if this option is added.

Yes a little on this, but currently, i'm in the end line for submit event in frontend.

As you may have seen in change log, many updates with changes and bugs to be fixed with the new system.
So, this week, i will finish Submit event in frontend feature, and will release it for Pro Users as a beta version.
Then after, i will work again on options for dates. First one : selection of weekdays for a period event.
Then after that, repeat options for single dates. ;-)

So because of many issues i have solved last weeks, i've lost time, but enhance iCagenda. (today a new release to fix a bug in period dates)

I would like to thank you all for your patience!
I will add the new features as soon as ready! ;-)

Hi!

That's depend of so many changes in the code (currently in process) that it is difficult to give an exact date of availability...
I hope by the mid-december, but it could be before or after...

In all cases, as soon as possible, as really needed feature! B)
