The original requirement is:
I would like to include our Public/National Holiday onto the Calander (as small red box) while these holidays should not occupy any space on the Event List.

Execution:
Add a new category call Holiday, set colour red. Add each holiday as an event.
Use the category filters in module to control the calander and the one in menu to control the event list

Problem/Bug:
The category filter in menu pre-empt the module one.

Without selecting any category filter thru menu, display of calander can be controlled by the one thru module.
However, if I select some categories but NOT holiday in the menu's option, small red box will not appear in the calander no matter what I do thru the module's option.

Hello,

This is not a bug, but the events of a catgeory are not displayed if no menu, depending of their settings, don't allow to display this category.

So, you need at least one menu (visible or not) which one allows to display events from this category.

In fact, i've planned in the future to add a info message in admin side, and maybe to display such events in calendar, but with no link active (so maybe a message like this for those events : The details view is not available). I don't yet which solution will be the best, but if no menu allows to view an event (because of its category, language, access...) this one is not display today (this is a logical behavior, but i will see to add options for this later). ;-)

Regards,
Cyril

My bad. You are right. It is just a typical skill that Joomla users usually employ, but I forgot. :pinch:

Publish the HolidayEvent in a new menu that never appear anywhere will solve my problem.

Thanks a lot, and look forward to your next release.
