When creating an event one has the possibility to add an image to the event. If the image is located in a directory which contains spaces in the name, you are unable to browse into that directory. This means you can not select the image you would like to use, unless you either rename the directory or move the image elsewhere.

Other modules or components do not suffer from this issue and allow me to browse into the directory and select images form there.

I'm using iCagenda v3.2.7 on Joomla v2.5.16

If you require any additional information, let me know.

Hi!

I don't think this good to have space in directory (nor in file name) due to url writing standard to be WC3 : www.w3schools.com/tags/ref_urlencode.asp
Quote: "URLs cannot contain spaces"

Images downloaded in iCagenda are encoded in WC3 standard, but it can't renammed your directory.

If an extension allows space in names, they're wrong!

Try to create in Joomla media manager a folder with space, you will have this error message :

Message

Unable to create directory. Directory name must only contain alphanumeric characters and no spaces.

And if you have an error message from iCagenda, this is normal ;-)

I really recommend you to use standard naming for your repository!

Latest version : iCagenda 3.9.8
We recommend every user to keep iCagenda updated.
Don't forget to have your Joomla!™ up-to-date!

Do you like iCagenda?
I would appreciate if you could take 5 minutes to post a review on JED (Joomla Extensions Directory) .
