How can I run 2 versions of iCagenda on Joomla 2.5.14, so I can display not only the dates and days of the week, but also the texts of the events in French, and in English?

Many thanks!

Hi!

There's no need of 2 iCagenda (not possible), but you can use a third party extension for translation.

Currently, i've just have finished 2 weeks ago the content elements for the extension Falang.
(and after some successful testing, i will add it soon available for download.)

Files in a zip to unzip, attached to this message.

Too, you can try the extension JDiction (really good!)
xml file for iCagenda is not ready, but i'm working on it! ;-)

So, if you want to use JDiction for translation on your website, keep me informed ;-)

Best Regards,
Lyr!C

Latest version : iCagenda 3.9.8

Thank you very much! I don't need something to translate (I do that myself), but I need to display the text describing the events in two languages, French on the French version of the site, English on the English. But I can only have iCagenda once in "components" and that's why I can't run the two versions of the events. If I've understood properly, it isn't possible to run two calendars at one time like this?

Oui! ;-)

This what i meant!
Falang and JDiction are tools to help you to translate content but don't do translation for you.
They are just tools to add a front-end auto changing depending of language, and depending of your translations done or not.

I've forgotten to attached Falang xml files.
So do i!

So i recommend you to test Falang (based on Joomfish, but free version with a copyright on frontend) or JDiction (new and really good! Just take attention to follow the documentation to set it. For new iCagenda website i'm working on, i will use jDiction)

The link on the JED :

Falang: extensions.joomla.org/extensions/languag...ingual-content/18210

jDiction: extensions.joomla.org/extensions/languag...ingual-content/21014

And for jDiction, if you test it and love it (me i do!) i will do soon the file needed to translate category and events directly in iCagenda, to be used with jDiction. ;-)
