Language issues? was created by hpostaci
Attached image shows my problem.

Date format in the info window is in Turkish and OK.
On the module position, days are also shown OK.
Only problem here is the name of the months, still in english, here shown in red.

Some info about my configuration :
Joomla 2.5.20 / İCagenda v3..3.5-1
Running on XAMPP MySQL 5.6.16 / PHP 5.5.11
Site & Admin Language of Joomla are both in Turkish
Database uses utf8

Is there an easy fix for this?

Hello,

The problem about May is that there's a missing translation for this month in official Joomla Turkish translation pack.

If you look in file tr-TR.ini (both admin and site languages folder), you will find this :
; Months

JANUARY_SHORT="Oca"
JANUARY="Ocak"
FEBRUARY_SHORT="Şub"
FEBRUARY="Şubat"
MARCH_SHORT="Mar"
MARCH="Mart"
APRIL_SHORT="Nis"
APRIL="Nisan"
MAY_SHORT="May"
MAY="May"
JUNE_SHORT="Haz"
JUNE="Haziran"
JULY_SHORT="Tem"
JULY="Temmuz"
AUGUST_SHORT="Ağu"
AUGUST="Ağustos"
SEPTEMBER_SHORT="Eyl"
SEPTEMBER="Eylül"
OCTOBER_SHORT="Eki"
OCTOBER="Ekim"
NOVEMBER_SHORT="Kas"
NOVEMBER="Kasım"
DECEMBER_SHORT="Ara"
DECEMBER="Aralık"

May is not translated!

So you can translate it, and/or contact the coordinator of the Joomla Turkish Translation :
community.joomla.org/translations/joomla...nslations.html#tr-tr

About Month in iCagend Calendar, it is using a special function i have created for iCagenda, and proposed for Joomla core (because month don't have always the same spelling in calendar depending of the culture and language).
Info : github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/pull/2809

About iCagenda Calendar, the Turkish translation is not complete. (only 9% translated)

So, you can contribute to this language pack here, on Transifex : www.transifex.com/projects/p/icagenda/language/tr_TR/

Just create a free account and ask to join Turkish Translation Team for iCagenda! ;-)

Months translation for calendar are in mod_iccalendar. (and frequently, i process update of packages when new translations from iCagenda translators)

As i have developped a special system in iCagenda to give users the date format in their culture (globalization) it needs a special file not yet included for Turkish.

I attached you this file (allow you to see list of date format in turkish, admin side, if admin is in Turkish ;-) ).
Just unzip it in folder ROOT/administrator/components/com_icagenda/globalization/

If you can test it, and all date formats, and tell me if it's okay for Turkish, it would be nice! :-)

Keep in touch!
Cyril

Hi Cyril,

i unzipped and copied the zip file under ROOT/administrator/components/com_icagenda/globalization/ directory.
Yes, date format shows now ok. under options->general settings.

As for the language ini file tr-TR.ini , there is no translation problem there. The month May is "Mayıs" in turkish, and short form could be "May" again as in English.

Though i had some problems with these language issues, it is still very nice tool and i'm using it. Many thanks to you... :)

Thank you for your test! Always great to have a native speaker to review date format ;-)

This is strange, as i have downloaded the latest tukish joomla pack, and may is the only month not translated...
Do you have check in admin and/or in site folder ?
( ROOT/administrator/langugage/tr-TR/ and/or ROOT/language/tr-TR/ )
