Hi,

we are considering upgrading iCagenda to the pro version but I still have a few unanswered questions (we are moving a very old large website to Joomla):

- Is it possible to apply tags to the events? The Events on the old site rely heavily on tags.
- There is a icagenda_customfields table in the db but I have not found a way to add customfields to an event. Is that function not implemented yet?
- The most important question: the old site has around 7000 events. Mainly very old ones and they do not want to delete any of them for "archive" reasons :( Is there a way I can add those events into the icagenda table with the asset table being updated at the same time? Is the asset table necessary for icagenda to function properly? If not I would just ignore it and insert the events via sql direct.

hope you can answer some of those questions - esp. the import one :)

regards,
hassan

iCagenda is not today ready for tags. It is in the roadmap, but due to other major developpements in process, i can't give a date for its developpement (but not before a few months maybe...)

The developpement is currently in process! Hope first version ready in one month, but maybe an beta version for users of iCagenda Pro before!

Unfortunatly, there's no way today to auto-update asset table (i have tried to find away, but with no good succes...)
The asset_id could be "0" as value, and it will use default asset settings for ACL as far as the event is not open and save (which will generate automatically the asset_id)

In all cases, some improvements are in process for dates management in database, so don't hesitate to ask before, and to be sure of the inserting depending of the iCagenda version. (it will maybe be later more difficult to import using SQL due to future changes in database for dates and repeating functionnalities)

Regards,
Cyril

Hi

Can you tell me, where I can put some custom field to registration form as ex. enterprise? Or do I have a possibility to make a dropdown selection with the user-names?

The custom fields are only available in the beta version for testing (3.4.0-beta1) which one is available only for Pro users (as all pre-releases).

If you have a Pro Subscription, open a new Pro Ticket to get an advanced support :-)
