[VIEWED] Event Description is not getting translated was created by Grossinho

Hi

I'm getting this problem that when i translate an event on Falang, the Description stays in the original language on the Frontend. The title and the category is translated but the description is not. On Falang the description and everything else is saved.

Hello Jose,

I don't have such issue with translation in Falang. It's working as espected in my own test website.

Does your Falang is updated ? Maybe try to contact its support, as if the xml file for iCagenda is installed, it should work for description...

I have the same problem but with "short description" field.
I dont see that field in falang!!
Is there any way to tranlate this field?

About the short description, the reason is that the Falang xml files are not "yet" updated...
I'm sorry, i have forgotten to check this...

Attached the new xml files for falang (unzip first, before upload inside falang).

If you could test it ? (added short description and meta-description)

Everything works great except this: No translation for V

ENUE !
You can see it in my attachment. I translate the name of the venue in falang but on frontend he has remained the same.
Please check this bug and it will be perfect!

I use both temes: "IC default" and "IC rounded".
IC default for Congress events and IC rounded for Concert events.
This problem exists on both theme packs.

Is seems that Falang is not able to get "place" column, as this one is renamed to "place_name"...
As i have already change this in my current dev version 3.6.0, this should work for 3.6.0 when this one will be officially release (not before end of year).

Unfortunately, today Falang seems not to be able to return translation for renamed data values (which is an issue, as renaming value, is common in Joomla, for example, when you get mixed info from different tables, and have in each one the same name...)

So, i won't have a solution today for this, but maybe ask the developer to ask how to translate a database "place" name converted in "place_name" in extension sql query select... (i'm still waiting for an answer from this developer since 2 years... so... and as i don't find any documentation on how to handle this on Falang website, don't know how to do...)
