Submit Event Form - why does it show no text when klicking on the help "questionmark" was created by Proton

Hi community,
there are kind of questionmark-buttons next to each of the input-fields in the submit-form.

Think there should pop up a help text when klicking on it. Not?

How do I get that funktion working ??? Firebug says something like: "event listener (Missing source file)"

Any Idea??? :sick:

Is it possible to have an online link ?

It seems to be a jQuery/script conflict on your frontend.

Ok!

You have a conflict of jQuery library loaded 2 times, because of com_adsmanager

So it's maybe the reason.

Are you on Joomla 2.5 ?

You can try to install the plugin jQuery Easy, activate it, and select "jQuery" only as loaded from the plugin.
This could solve your jQuery conflict.

I'm on Joomla 3.x latest version. I'll try some things with the jQuery in my head and post the results then.

Other users don't seem to have the same problems, even if a lot of tools use jQuery?

Hi, me again :unsure:

the mistake should disappear when adsmanager is deactivated... but it's the same and google (which knows everything) says that with joomla 3 there should be an end with jQuery conflicts... any idea?

Okay!

So, com_adsmanager is maybe not updated.
If it is in the latest version, that means this extension is not well coded for Joomla 3, as this extension is loading its own jQuery, and should never do that! :ohmy:

Ask its developer to update its extension in order this one loads Joomla core jQuery, and not its own jQuery version.

Hello,

I have the same problem; when clicking questionmarks nothing happens. Inspect element sais:

TypeError: undefined is not a function (evaluating 'jQuery(".iCtip").tipTip({maxWidth: "200", defaultPosition: "top", edgeOffset: 1})')

Also, some warning messages are not showing up. eg. when I want to register for an event again with the same email adress, I don't get the warning to show up.
Could those problems be related?

You have another extension conflicting with the Joomla core jQuery (if you are on Joomla3).

If on joomla 2.5, the conflict may come from a different jQuery version loaded after iCagenda.

In all cases, i recommend you to test it with the core Joomla template (protostar on j3 or Beez20 on j2.5)
If the tip is working, it means the conflict come from you site template.
