We have several week long events in our calendar. We want them to be visible in the calendar module, but all the events for each and every day of these events in the event list is ludicrous.
Finally I had to make it a one day event and state in the info that the event is one week long. That is no more than a "plastic padding solution".
Would it be possible to have a "1st date - last date" event item that remains in the list until the event is over, even if the days in the calendar are marked?

@Janeta, yes, it is very similar request... Yours was for date display (startdate - enddate) and this will be in 3.4.0 coming soon (already in Release Candidate version for Pro users).
In 3.4.0, "start datetime - end datetime" for period dates, will be displayed in list and event details view, and kept in list of events when for example "Today and upcoming" is selected.
All this will be in 3.4.0 release (and with much more new features in it!)
In all cases, i've planned a few little more flexibility in future version (maybe a additionnal option "Still running and upcoming events" for list filtering).
Hope this gives a little more info, the best way will be to update to 3.4.0 as soon as this new version will be ready (i'm in the last tests before a release before Christmas!)
Best regards!
Cyril
