Ls,
I hope someone can help with this error:
Using joomla 2.5.27 and icagenda 3 3 8 I migrated to joomla 3.3.6
After that I removed Icagenda 338 and reinstalled it. Then I updated to icagenda 3401.
The event and categorys were missing so with phpadmin I exported and imported that table again.
After that I have on the fornt-end this error:
Notice: Undefined offset: 1 in /public/sites/domainname/libraries/cms/html/email.php on line 42

And in the back-end on eventview 6 instances of:
Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /public/sites/domainname/administrator/components/com_icagenda/views/events/tmpl/default.php on line 272

Hope someone can help.
thanks in advance,
Pete

Hello,

Why do you have uninstall iCagenda after joomla 2.5 > 3 migration ?

When unsinstalling, you lose your data, it's normal.

And after a joomla upgrade from 2.5. to 3.3.6, iCagenda should still work as before (after a cache clean, purge expired files, and fix database for Joomla)

Cyril

Latest version : iCagenda 3.9.8

Hello,
I uninstalled after migration because: I used MigrateMe to do the upgrade, the manual states that the components and plugins are best to be reinstalled to correct, if necessary, connections with libraries.
When I reinstall Icagenda I got a Duplicate column name error. Therefore I decided to uninstall and reinstall the agenda. (Some plugins don't remove the data,so after a reinstall the data is still there)

I migrated a other site the same way, joomla 2.5.27, but there it went without problems.
Pete
---
just tried this: migrated joomla 2.5.27 with agenda 338 to joomla 3.3.6
Agenda working oke, with Update button for the new version I got the error:
1060 Duplicate column name 'releasedate' SQL=ALTER TABLE `mmp_ljke8_icagenda` ADD `releasedate` TEXT(65535) NOT NULL AFTER `version`;

When I want to go to the component I see this: Fatal error: Class 'icagendaParams' not found in /public/sites/domainname/mmp_upgrade/administrator/components/com_icagenda/icagenda.php on line 148

Hello,

There were issues in migration...
The issue may come from the version saved in #__schemas table (if you uninstall, you could check there to removed the line concerning iCagenda extension (search id of com_icagenda in #__extensions)

I wonder what for you have used migrateme for a Joomla 2.5 to Joomla 3.3.6 migration, as the joomla updater could do that without third party extension ?

Happy New Year,
Cyril

Hello,
best wishes for 2015.
I'll try the suggestions mentioned.

I used the third party for the convenience of automated backup and a separate updated website, on which I can test the plugins ad componenents and menus before going to use it as a life site.
Best regards,
Pete

Good afternoon Pete,

This comes 1 year, 5 months too late - but hopefully it might help someone else.

(By the way, this is Barnaby Dixon, creator of MigrateMe and MigrateMe Plus migration tools for Joomla)

You don't need to uninstall anything before running the migration. Just run it as normal.

After completing the migration, you can log in and install the latest version of !Cagenda, if needed.

Then, if you have any other issues, such as notices, warnings, or !Cagenda doesn't load, open Extensions > Manage, and ensure the iC library and iC library system plugin are both enabled.

Any other issues, just let me know! I offer full support with purchase of MigrateMe or MigrateMe Plus, and this extends to issues with updating or installing third party extensions post migration.

All the best, Barnaby Dixon
