Hi, i recently uploaded my site on a public server for some tests, when i open an URL of icagenda i receive
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in MYURL/components/com_icagenda/views/list/tmpl/event.php on line 14

which means in the line JEXEC or die.

I haven't configured this server, so i don't know how the ini file is set. Does anyone know if the problem could be there? Or it is something more serious?

I know today is saturday, in addiction to this, the problem is not so urgent, just for asking.
Thank you ;)

Hi, first can you try just to re-publish your menu-link to the event-list (open it, and save and close)

Latest version : iCagenda 3.9.8

First of all I apologize for the long-time i didn't give you a feedback.
The project i was working on was a volunteer job, so i could work on it in (the little) free time.

Anyway i have more elements i can explain.

I think it was the display_errors settings in the php.ini file which was enabled on that server, it could generate the parse error.

Anyway, when i published the site on the official server (with ini settings OK) the component had some problems maybe with the url path, because it gives 404 error on events.

I fixed it by uninstalling and re-installing the component and the module, and now it works properly.
I'm not a php developer, so i can't be more useful, but i hope this will help to keep in mind this issue for future test.

Thank you for your work guys, this module is very pretty :)

Thanks!

About #404, you just have had to re-save the menu-link to the component after transfert files ;-)
If you don't know the extension Akeeba backup, try it! It's free and really useful to transfert a site (by exemple, from local to server) with no problems ! ;)

Hi!
I tried with no luck to follow the instruction on re-save menu, but i will consider the Akeeba extension for transfer. Some times the "old school way" has to abandoned for faster and easier ways
thank you! ;)

Yes, but today Akeeba is so well done, that it's faster than the old school way ;-)
