[SOLVED] Issue with feature icons was created by BlueWonder

In the iCagenda component settings page (Events tab) you must select the size of icon for the events list and also for the single event page.

It seems that it works for me only when I select 16 bits icons....

How have you set up the other icon sizes?
All of the different size icon files should all have a common name but be located in the appropriate directories. The backend dialogues get the file names from the 16-bit directory and if you choose a different icon size, it uses the same file name and generates the path to show a file from a different location.

When I select a file that i want to convert to a icon it works just fine.
I makes an icon in all of the directories, but the names are not all the same.

images/icagenda/feature_icons/16_bit/w16h16q100_beker.jpg
images/icagenda/feature_icons/24_bit/w24h24q100_beker.jpg
images/icagenda/feature_icons/32_bit/w32h32q100_beker.jpg
images/icagenda/feature_icons/48_bit/w48h48q100_beker.jpg
images/icagenda/feature_icons/64_bit/w64h64q100_beker.jpg

When i rename them all to beker.jpg it works fine.

So there is going something wrong with the name.

Looks like Cyril didn't understand how it works when he added the feature for generating the icons

Hi Phil,

I did understand, but i have introduced a bug in last release... :whistle: :pinch:

This is not suppose to generate the thumbnail with the prefix (and was not in 3.4)

I will check this as soon as possible, to release a 3.5.2 with a fix.

Thank you BlueWonder for this bug report! B)

Note: so a 3.5.2 to come soon!

THe reason : i have updated and added options to the thumbnail generator function in the iC Library, and i have forgot to edit the calls to this function in feature icons... (so, there's a bug in options settings.)

A quick fix now (to not wait 3.5.2 release) is to edit the file : ROOT/administrator/components/com_icagenda/tables/feature.php

And replaces lines 87 to 100 by this (adding a ,'' for the new option "checksize") :
// Generate 16_bit if not exist
				iCThumbGet::thumbnail($array['new_icon'], $thumbsPath, '16_bit', '16', '16', '100', false, '', '', '', $icon_name);

				// Generate 24_bit if not exist
				iCThumbGet::thumbnail($array['new_icon'], $thumbsPath, '24_bit', '24', '24', '100', false, '', '', '', $icon_name);

				// Generate 32_bit if not exist
				iCThumbGet::thumbnail($array['new_icon'], $thumbsPath, '32_bit', '32', '32', '100', false, '', '', '', $icon_name);

				// Generate 48_bit if not exist
				iCThumbGet::thumbnail($array['new_icon'], $thumbsPath, '48_bit', '48', '48', '100', false, '', '', '', $icon_name);

				// Generate 64_bit if not exist
				iCThumbGet::thumbnail($array['new_icon'], $thumbsPath, '64_bit', '64', '64', '100', false, '', '', '', $icon_name);
