Don't you have the same issue with other extensions ? (Article edit for exemple ?)

iCagenda is using tabs from Joomla core, and with no internet, for me it is working (just google maps is not working, as need a distant script)

So, you have maybe a plugin conflicting with script used in event edition (one for google maps, and one for datetime picker).

Could you check if you have any editor button under your description editor area ?

This is because Google Maps needs an internet connexion to be able to work (see requirements on download page : icagenda.joomlic.com/#download)

I will see in the future to how iCagenda could work with no internet, but of course, in this case, it won't be possible to use Google Maps).
