Do You have these 2 lines in pl_PL.xml?
<filename>pl-PL.com_icagenda.ini</filename>
<filename>pl-PL.mod_iccalendar.ini</filename>

I have edited pl_PL, en_GB files and others.. so I don't know why it doesn't work?
Are there some cache files, can You write me which files I must check?

I have fresh Joomla 2.5.8.1 + Polish Language Pack, all based on standard template, I installed iCagenda 1.29, after that I installed Polish Language (Opejda) version: 1.2.6.
Cache is off.

- date on box (in event list) and text still are in english (eg. NOV, November, DEC...)

- I checked pl_PL.ini
- I checked pl_PL.xml

- I try edit en_GB.ini (change eg. DEC to polish GRU)

and still no effect... short dates still are in english...

What may I check?

Please help...

========================================================================
Edit: 21.11.2012

The polish translation working at the account from other hosting provider.
It seems to be problem with server set locale declaration or something...

BTW, can anyone tell me which php file I must edit? -> maybe write in some php file:
setlocale(LC_TIME,"pl_PL.UTF-8");
EDIT: maybe this help the other people? what You think?

For Polish Language - SOLVED, look my post below:

[pl-PL, Polish month Short Names - SOLVED]

It all depends on the server settings, and specifically named values: set locale

The names of days and months are declared in the languages files,
in this case in file:

pl-PL.ini

(directory language/pl-PL) and the section set locale at the end of the file

pl-PL.xml

.

PL

EN

In the first hosting (provider 1, linux) I must set: pl_PL.UTF-8 - at first position

Example/Przykład:
Warning: Spoiler!

In second case (hosting provider 2, linux) I must set: pl_PL.UTF8 - at first position.

Example/Przykład:
Warning: Spoiler!

It's just a solution for people waiting for 1.3...

Because in 1.3, there won't be this problem anymore, and no need to change the code ;)

ps: 1.3 available before christmas!

Latest version : iCagenda 3.9.3
We recommend every user to keep iCagenda updated.
Don't forget to have your Joomla!™ up-to-date!

Do you like iCagenda?
I would appreciate if you could take 5 minutes to post a review on JED (Joomla Extensions Directory) .
