Hello,

Could you give more detailled info, as it's difficult to understand what you really want to do ?
An example ? ;-)

Thank you!
Best Regards,
Cyril

Be able to create an event that is Invite Only.

Example.
  • You create the event.
  • Pull up a list of the users that you want to invite.
  • Write an eMail to that list of users
  • The list of users get sent an eMail with a link to the event (probably an event code also that allows them to see the event)
  • The users either accept or decline the invitation
  • When the event is full even people with the invites that haven't registered aren't allowed to see all the details to the event

Thank you

OK...

Such work won't be done in iCagenda alone, as it means a complex and advanced mailing campaign system.
AcyMailing is one very good extension that allows such mailing.
There's already a plugin for iCagenda, to insert event details in a acymailing newsletter, and to manage too list of users (could be Joomla users).

Only that :

When the event is full even people with the invites that haven't registered aren't allowed to see all the details to the event

...can not be managed automatically, but you can change in manual the access to an event when this one is full.

Don't hesitate to check AcyMailing plugin for iCagenda : www.acyba.com/acymailing/392-acymailing-plugin-icagenda.html

Hope this helps ?

Regards,
Cyril

I don't need a large mailing list.

JEvents has something close, I wish I would have known about that before buying the one you have.

www.jevents.net/item/extra-features-available-to-club-members-2 look at feature 6. They don't need another module.

Ok, but iCagenda is not JEvents ;-)
In all cases, AcyMailing could work with small newsletter sending too. About JEvents, it's an addon working like an extension (as AcyMailing is).
And iCagenda plugin is working with the free version of AcyMailing.

I wish I would have known about that before buying the one you have.

Do you mean you have purchase iCagenda Pro ?
Why don't you have use the Pro Ticket on the pro website ? (pro.joomlic.com)

I understand that the feature you would like is interesting, but it's not today in my todo list for this year. (already a lot of things to develop).
And in the same time, as AcyMailing is a really good extension, i think it could be good for users to be able to communicate between iCagenda and AcyMailing, to provide iCagenda users the power of AcyMailing ;-)

Regards,
Cyril

I think that we will just drop your system do you mind refunding it as we will be going to jEvents since you are saying we need to buy more plug ins.

you are saying we need to buy more plug ins.

Please, don't say something i have never said... this is not my words!

I said that you can do what you wanted to do with :
- AcyMailing Starter (free!)
- iCagenda plugin for AcyMailing (free!)

About your other request, please contact me with the email address you used during the Share-it purchase, and contact me at the support pro contact email you have in the notification email from Share-it you received after your purchase.

Recommendations before buying an extension (not only iCagenda!) :
- when an extension has a free version (there's a good reason!), a user is responsible to test it as long as he want before to purchase the pro version (if needed), to be sure it is the extension he wants to use and provides the features he needs.
- before buying an extension, a user can ask before purchase it (the free forum here for iCagenda), if one feature is needed by the user, that this one is provided by the extension, or not.

Thank you,
Cyril
