Hi i am using Joomla 3.4.4 and iCagenda 3.5.12

My site is multi lingual and thus my articles are eather set to language Dutch or English. This means that i have seperate content articles for the same subject.

As far as i understand iCagenda Events Descriptions are only in one language as well, which means i have to create two events in different languages. This is not a problem, but now a visitor can register twice for the same event, once for the English and once for the Dutch translation.

I have installed the dutch language pack, so the component texts are translated nicely, just having an issue with event descriptions.

Hope you can help,

Greetings,
FuZZbaLL

Hello,

I understand about the issue with registration, and the Joomla core multi-lingual...
Maybe a better solution, to prevent this, would be to use an extension such as Falang or JDiction. This way, no need to duplicate events (so, not possible to have One registration per language).

The reason that today iCagenda allows this, is that there's no association option for events (this is something i will add in my todo list, as i realize thanks to your message that this is missing on a multi-lingual site, using Joomla multi-linguage system).

What do you mean about "Event description" issue ? Is it with Dutch language pack ?

Thank you!
Best Regards,
Cyril

Yes i think most Joomla sites will start using the built in multi-lingual core, so having an association feature would be nice.

"Event description" is just the issue of not having a translated version of the "Event description" rich text field.
