Missing features? was created by bdonner
Hi, I am new to iCagenda and have problems finding some basic features:

How does the user filter to show only events from a certain category in the iCagenda component or modules?
How does the user search for events by for instance a date, a date span or an event location?

iCagenda does not send the event image URL in RSS?

Cheers,
Ben

Hello,
Currently iCagenda is using only Joomla search function, integrated with its search plugin into Joomla search.
But, the frontend filters for main list of events are currently in dev. and plan for next 3.6.0 ;-)

You mean you don't see the event image in the RSS ? (it should...)
Do you have an online link to your list of events ?

Best Regards,
Cyril

I find no iCagenda search plugin, and adding a standard joomla search module does not give any iCagenda fields, what do I do wrong?

Hello Ben,

There is a iCagenda search plugin!
This one is installed with extension, but you have to enable it to integrate it in Joomla search module ;-)

Hope this helps,
Best Regards,
Cyril

Sorry now I found it. But how does it work? If I put a Search module on a page with events, I see no iCagenda options or ability to use the module together with icagenda. I temporarily now have a module like that on goo.gl/bhN3zQ in the Right position, you see the field with Sök in it.

Or do I misunderstand, is it so that the plugin only makes the search module search also the icagenda sql table, it does not add any ways to search for items on a certain date / between dates / certain venue / city / category?

Hi!

In fact, the plugin search is just to integrate in the Joomla search system, which is a simple global search but with not many possibilities for filtering : www.visitkimitoon.fi/soekningar?searchwo...est&searchphrase=all

But, in 3.6.0 (currently in testing by pro users) i have developed a dedicated search system directly in the main list of events!
With categories, dates (from, to, month, year) and more to come later...

I think 3.6.0 will be officially released for all by the end of July, if all last testing goes well (the 3.6.0 beta will be released soon, and then, a week after, in will release the RC as the last test version before the stable version release ;-)

There the newsletter send when first preview of 3.6.0 was available : www.joomlic.com/index.php?option=com_acy...id=19&tmpl=component

Best Regards,
Cyril
