[SOLVED] Italics in event title field was created by farynato
Is it possible to format with italics in event title field? I'm trying with <i></i> in the administration form but this tag is not saved in database, it is deleted before saving the field.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Yes, all data saved in database is filtered and protected (for security reason!).

The best way to change style, is to add a custom CSS.
Good news, iCagenda has a integrated option (in global options of component, in general settings tab) to allow you to enter a custom CSS declaration to change the styling with no needs to edit file, or do special things.

So, if you want the event title in italics, in the main list of events as well as on event details view, you can add this custom CSS :
.ic-title-header {
    font-style: italic;
}

Hope this helps ? B)

Best Regards,
Cyril

Thank you for the response, Cyril.

In my case, I only want some words of the title in italics, so, I'm afraid that your solution is not valid for me. Any idea for this?

Thank you very much!
Regards.

Unfortunately, this is not really possible as the title, when saved in database is html filtered.

But if you want always the same position word (first word for example), you can manage it with css and nth-word() / first-word / last-word css-tricks.com/a-call-for-nth-everything/

Hope this helps ?

Cyril

The words are not always in the same position, I can't use css...
Would it be possible to set exclusions in html filter?

Thank you!

Would it be possible to set exclusions in html filter?

No, this is how a secured CMS works! (title is using Joomla core API as articles do) ;-)

And in any case, i will never change this, as the title is use for generated alias with Joomla standards and routing, and not a good idea to have html tags in an item title! (title is not only to be displayed on the page, but used for SEO, SEF, page header...

The only way would be a plugin that would get title, and transform it before display (this is possible).
But really, this is not manageable, as all titles are different!

Regards,
Cyril
