Good evening,

Whenever i try to apply ic_rounded the image showed is always xnophoto.jpg. I tried clear cache, other browser, install again icagenda without success.
I am running ic agenda 3.5.14 over Joomla! 3.4.8 Stable - with T3 Framework 2.5.2 and Template Purity III.
You can try it on lilaway.com.br/index.php/salas/eventos ( there is only events on March)

Any advice?Thanks,

Murilo

Hi!

You seems to have an issue with the image file names...

Do you have an extension named "page speed" ?

Because the names of the files seems to be changed by a third party extension (maybe on upload) but the issue is dots in file name :
xStammtisch135x90.jpg.pagespeed.ic._MKC0AFTO6.jpg
And too, the file name seems duplicated with 2 times a file extension...

In admin side, you have maybe alert message about issue with thumbnails generator or you don't have any things wrong ?

Best Regards,
Cyril

Hello Cyril,

thanks for your precise analise. I realise that my joomla host (AWS+bitnami ) enables pagespeed ( an open-source Apache HTTP server module | see more at wiki.bitnami.com/Components/Apache/PageSpeed). I have not installed and have not found an additional ¨page speed" extension. In the back-end seems to be everything all right.

I turn this feature (pagespeed) off adding ?ModPagespeed=off at end of url, and the name of pictures was not with double suffix anymore , but icagenda did not show images in calendar view. But when i tried developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/ , the performance of my site was worse (means: it will be not a solution for me).

I need to ask apache how to keep the file name. Perhaps knows someone how to maintain pagespeed and file name extension

Best Regards and thanks for your answer and help,

Murilo

Hello Murilo,

The image uploaded is managed using the Joomla media manager.
Then, thumbs are generated using a special script using php functions to generate thumbs.

Could you check if the name of your images in the media manager are all with the suffix ?
If yes, so there's an issue with pagespeed, but maybe too with Joomla itself... which should prevent another extension to change the file name on upload...

Weird issue...

In all cases, there's maybe other "joomla" solution to improve your site loading such as JCHoptimize plugin ;-)

I've just found some info by searching on the web...

- Many users with url issue (and bad SEO) due to image name rewriting, and still some bugs in the mod_pagspeed (view some issues reported on the mod_pagespeed github).
- Does not work well with WordPress, Drupal, Joomla... And need to use only minimum settings (no filters).
blog.webfaction.com/2010/11/speed-up-you...-with-mod_pagespeed/
- Seems not easy to use properly on a joomla site..., but check if all joomla cache is disable when using mode_pagespeed : github.com/pagespeed/mod_pagespeed/issues/129
- ...

I would recommand to better use a Joomla integrated solution such as JCH Optimize plugin ;-)

Another info (found in French) with someone having a lot of issue with Joomla and mod_pagespeed, and had to disable mod_pagespeed.
Then, to rewrite url to more friendly SEO url for all images, you can check its code for htaccess :
forum.joomla.fr/archive/index.php/t-213626.html

Another post, with another issue with mod_pagespeed : groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/mod-pagesp...fHIxoQU/hy0lqb0NBwAJ

So... if you really want to use mod_pagespeed, a special setting should be found to work on Joomla (as i think that all your images are renamed in the media manager, no ?)

Best Regards,
Cyril
