[SOLVED] Update 3.5.18 was created by drweb
Error when updating from 3.5.17 to 3.5.18 :

Warning
JInstaller: :Install: Can't find XML setup file.
Message
Invalid package type. The update can not proceed.

Hello,

Could you check in Joomla admin > Extensions > Warnings if your tmp folder is writable or accessible for Joomla ?

This message appears typically when tmp folder (needed to unzip and prepare extensions installation) is not usable by Joomla Installer.

Hi,
No warnings detected.
I have regular updates in Joomla, all updating fine.
It's the first time that the Joomlic update doesn't work..

Could you test then to install another extension (for testing, if another one works now or not) ?

And, do you use the free or pro version ?

I have the same issue

I am using the Pro version (cant get on Pro site form work for some reason)

The only reason I am updating is to get rid of this ....as I run a 3.5.1 site and according to patch notes not needed for us.
Also is there a way to tun this off, its really annoying just use Joomlas alert like everyone else :)

Well... as you have a pro version, could you open a new private Pro ticket with an admin access, so that i could check the issue.
BUT i think your issue is not the same, it could be just your Pro ID key not correct in iCagenda PRO option ;-)
Pro ticket : pro.joomlic.com/en/support/individual-issues

So, before opening a pro ticket, just check the Pro ID key is saved in global option of iCagenda PRO (Pro Options tab) and then, before update, click on "Refresh Update Information" in the LiveUpdater page ;-)

If no success, just open the pro ticket !

I have my user id and password in the Pro Option (cant find the id), it works because if I did not have it in the update button would be grayed out ;) None the less even with my Pro ID/Password in I get the same message.

I will open a pro ticket tonight once I am home for some reason work blocks the Pro site but not this one???

In my case, I probably got the error because my update-period was over.
I renewed the licence and the update didn't give any error anymore.
