[SOLVED] Calendar Filter by Date was created by CampWest
Hi - currently i'm doing a new site (Joomla 3.6) and love iCagenda (using it on my old Joomla 2.5). I how ever having issues with the the Filter by Date on the calendar module.
There is an option called "Current and All Upcoming Events" and "Current and Today's Upcoming Events", and I would expect that currents mean only the events that are current = active.

So fx. I have an event running from 9:00 to 9:30 - it is shown on the list the hole day - I want it to disappear from the list after 9:30 - but with either of the filters above this does not happen. The same thing happens when using the filer "Upcoming" - it shows the event even when the event has ended.

Will this be changed in the version 3.6 of iCagenda?

Hello,

In fact, many things will change in 3.6.0, as a full new structure for frontend and many improvements.

Could you confirm me the version you have installed, and provide an online link to this event ?
(so that i will check if this is an improvement of 3.6.0, or a bug in both 3.5.x and 3.6.0... as i remember to have recently fix an issue with current events, but as i did so much things, not sure if i did it in July only in 3.6.0 or in 3.5.21 too... will have to check in my historic ;-) )

Regards,
Cyril

Latest version : iCagenda 3.9.8

@CampWest I'm not able to reproduce your issue with both 3.5.21 and 3.6.0-RC1...

I've tested with an event today, from 9am to 9:30am, and this one (as expected) is not displayed if filter by date is set to "Current and upcoming" and "upcoming" (as well, not displayed in current and today's upcoming).
This event is only displayed in past events, as it is logical.

So, i don't really understand why you have this issue...

Could you attached screenshots of your event dates settings, as well as the menu item to list of events settings ?
(and global options for list if you use "Use Global" option for filtering in menu item).

In the same time, could you check your Joomla configuration option for TimeZone ? It is correctly set there ?

About 3.6.0, i think i will be able to release the stable version next week (don't know the day exactly yet) as after 7 months of testing by Pro Users, and many bugs fixed with the new structure, the last RC1 version works great ! (some Pro Users already use this version on live production sites ;-) )

So, just a few code clean to do, and a few check, and next week, i will prepare the package! (and hope to have enough time to create some documentation on the new functionnalities!).
Note: many speed testing done to compare 3.5.x and 3.6.0, and it is around 10 times faster to load the main list of events! ;-)

Best Regards,
Cyril

Hi!

For TimeZone, in admin, go to (Joomla menu) System > Global Configuration

Click on "Server" tab and you will find the option to select your timezone : Server Time Zone
Maybe this could be a reason of event displayed if past for you, because timezone is not the same than yours ;-)

Best Regards,
Cyril
