Hi,
I' would like to insert events that can always take place. I know this is a strange use for a calendar, but i'd like to use iCagenda for the registration feature.
Some advice?

Thank you for all

Hi!

In fact, it's not so strange question, and it is something in my todo list (maybe after 4.0.0, so not for the upcoming versions....) to be able to set an event, but to set it with no displayed date (it may need dates for published state, from... to ..., but in frontend, for visitors, there will be no date displayed by an option).

For now, do you need date for some events, and no date for other events ? Or never dates, just events ?

Regards,
Cyril

Well... not so easy, and the only way i could see it would be by using a custom field, and then creating a custom theme pack.

The idea :
- Custom field type radio, for event form : select if display date or not
- in Custom theme pack, to add a function to display date depending of the custom field option

Maybe easier, with just the custom theme pack :
- if event with date display would have always the time, so you can use the "display time" option as a handler of the full date to be or not displayed.

Do you have a minimum html/php knowledge ?

Best Regards,
Cyril

Thanks a lot for your answer.
My knowledge of php and html are so limited that we can neglect them...
Can you give me some advices to hide dates from event list?

Thank you again

Well...

In fact, possible if you know the minimum to be able to edit and modify files...

What i can give you easily is a custom css to hide all dates but your will have this problem :

Right now I've only events without specified date, but it's not always like this...

So, for today, unfortunately, i won't have easy solution to provide you this possibility... :-|

Cyril

Hello,

Nothing will be done regarding this possibility before version 4.0 (so only later in the futur after iCagenda 4).
The reason: it will need the new dates system currently in a long development process to be achieved (part of 3.6 and upcoming 3.7 will have changes to prepare integration of the future dates system manager which may be release by the end of the year).

Best regards,
Cyril
