For now, no such options for categories.

What is planned is to add in the future a system to set groups for categories (as for custom fields groups since version 3.6.0).

But, do you know you can create "Features" with no icon, and use them to filter events in menu item options ?

Could you give me an exemple of which criteria, and what you want to do (multiple menu items, else...) and i could maybe give you a solution to achieve this

For now, you can display events from one or multiple selected categories, but not by creator (this could be a future option of the new frontend search filters )

So first to display all events from 1 category is possible (menu options for static list, or frontend search filters for a dynamic display in frontend).
