Hi, I am using iCagenda for some time now and I'm really enjoying it. It works and looks great.
Today I wanted to update to 3.6.8, but I get the error: Copy file failed.
Previous version updates always went smooth, without any issues. But now I can't install it anymore. Every update from third party components install just fine, but this one keeps giving the error.
Is there anything you could tell, so I can install the latest version? Any help would be fine. Thank thank thank....

Hello,
Could you attach a screenshot of the LiveUpdate ?
But first, could you click on the "Refresh update information" and try again to update.
Best regards,
Cyril

Hi Thanx for your reply. As asked, the screenshot. Even when I refreshed, try to install from URL , upload the file, or from a directory......still getting the error.

Hello,
Sorry for slow response...
Do you have check your permissions on files and folders ? (mainly the "tmp" directory of your Joomla install)
Check in Joomla > Extensions > Warning to see if no special message from Joomla about permissions issues.
Do you have tried too, to download the latest version, and install it using Joomla Extensions manager (it works the same as LiveUpdater
)
Best regards,
Cyril

I wanted to try all the steps you've mentioned, but first I wanted to make a backup.
When making a backup of my site, I found out that there was no space on the server. So I cleared some unnecessary files.
After I've cleared those files, I forgot to make the backup and tried to install the update.
And guess what? It worked!
Damn!!
After many hours troubleshooting, the thing what prevented me to install updates, was a file storage space issue. Grrrrrrrr....
Sorry to bother you guys, but I think this is a good lesson for me and maybe others, to check your diskspace.
The error didn't mention anything about storage space, but it was definately the issue.
Thanx for your time!

Hello,
Yes, of course no space on the server explains why you got this issue
About the error message, this could be an issue or improvement to submit for Joomla itself. (as this error managed by Joomla installer)
But, did you check too, when error occured, if any warning from Joomla in Extensions > Warning ?...
All in all, good to know you find and solve your issue!
Best regards,
Cyril
