Hi

Is there any documentation on how to use Newsletters?

I'm using the form to create the newsletter, add the event and submit. The website default account gets a copy but nobody who is registered for the event gets a copy.

I can't see anywhere to change any settings.

Andy

Hello Andy,

So you mean the integrated simple newsletter of iCagenda.
Do you have selected the date too ?

After sending, do you have the list of emails send display in the message box ?

Don't hesitate to attach screenshots ;-)

In the same time, verify too if no error in each email addresses, as since Joomla 3.6, PHPMailer library is blocking sending if one email is not a valid email...

Best regards,
Cyril

Yes I'm referring to the integrated simple newsletter. You select the event, create the e-mail and when sending it says 0 messages sent.

I think I have worked when this happens. Create an event with a single date. Create the newsletter and select the event and for the date select "All Dates". When you send, it reports 0 e-mails sent. If you create a newsletter and select the single date the newsletter goes OK.

In both cases the Admin account does get an e-mail.

Hello,

Sorry for slow response...

Didn't test this specific case yet, but i think i understand where the issue is : in selecting "All Dates" when the registration type option for this event is set to select list of dates (registration by single date).

I will check this as there's effectively something that could be improved here (for example, an option to send email to all registered users of an event, even if no date selected.

Thanks for this report! ;-)

Best regards,
Cyril
