[SOLVED] Issues in new event page was created by 6254-IT
Hi.
In june I successfully added 2 events in my ICAgenda. No errors found.
But today I tried to add an event and I get two issues, as you can see in attached screenshots.
I don't know why...

You can take a look here: staging1.eupuru.eu/tutti-gli-eventi

I can give you the admin access if you need to do some hacks (you can do what you want safely because it's a staging environment).
Joomla and ICAgenda are updated to the latest versions.

Can you help me? Thanks in advance!

Hello,

You may have a script conflict on your page.

You can send me by email at info(at)joomlic.com an access to be able to view the Submit an event page (as currently access is registered) so that i could check javascript console to search for errors on the page.
Add "Forum #3578" in the subject of your email so that i can see it more easily in my "spam" box (as not pro users emails are discarded by my mailbox filters). ;-)

But the issue could come from another extension/template updated since the issue appeared the first time.

I will be able to get more info with page access (or you can too do a right-click on the page to "inspect element" (Firefox... but too a good console in Chrome) and check "Console" which will display all script errors encounter on the page).

Best regards,
Cyril

Thanks a lot. I have some news...
Usually, I use Firebug in order to spped up debug and developement tasks but his console still not display any error or any useful info when I load the event creation page.

But, in the meantime, I found the solution! :)

For your information:
My hosting provider is SiteGround and they developed a plugin for Joomla that allows some cache improvements in order to speed up the site. I tried that plugin but it was not satisfy me. I decided to use Google Page Speed instead.
Then, I disabled the dynamic cache from SiteGround cPanel but I forgot to disable the related plugin in my Joomla environment.
Now I disabled the plugin and all is working correctly! ;)

In the attached image you can see a schreenshot of the related page in the SiteGround cPanel (sorry but it's in italian).
I think to not use that plugin in future but If you want to analyze this conflict I can send you the plugin package.

Thanks a lot for your quick answer and great support! (and sorry about my poor english...)

Hello,

So, the SiteGround cache plugin explains issue by itself ;-)
And this issue can happen too with other extensions. it is a know issue, but not a bug and as far as i remember, Siteground has providing the options in its plugin to allow to set it correctly to work with dynamic content using scripts.

About Italian, i don't speak but understand a bit when i read it... But for sure, your English is far better than my Italian :-)

Best regards,
Cyril
