[SOLVED] Could not open socket was created by mdraeger
Hello,

we have a fairly urgent issue. We have been getting registrations for our workshops and today, we get this

"Could not open socket"

This occurs after registration.

Can some please help with this?

Hello,

This message is related to the reCaptcha plugin.

Do you use the core Joomla one, or another reCaptcha plugin ?
Did you set it to use v2 of Google reCaptcha ? (maybe a reCaptcha Google account setting issue...)

This is very odd since it is now working again and we did not touch captcha whatsoever.

Could it have to do with email server being down?

Difficult to know the reason, as it could be a temporary Google issue too...

But if now it's working again, it may just have been a isolated problem not from your site ;-)
