Image size on homepage was created by euevents
Dear Cyril,

I have a team of several event-uploaders who IT skills are limited. Unfortunately our homepage keeps showing uncentered images that are very unpleasant to look at (see image below).

Is there a way to automatically center and resize them? Or alternatively, which is the optimal size?

Thanks once again!

Hello,

On list, it's using the image thumbnail "medium" as a background of a html div (date box) which size is set with css.

You can set the medium size to use crop or not (in Global settings > General Settings)

Could you tell me which size you would like to set so that i could check the best settings ?
Note: it would mean that the original image uploaded should be at minimum of the background size you would like...

Best regards,
Cyril

Hello,

First of all sorry about the request for further clarification but we are not expert on Joomla nor we have set up this website personally, but we are in charge of managing it day by day.

Indeed, I would honestly not know where to intervene regarding the html div settings nor, unfortunately, I can retrieve the Global Settings > General Settings you are referring to.

However, to at least try to facilitate your job in providing us with a suggestion, I can mention that we are currently using a shaper_helix3 - Default template and that the module we use for the footer images is Slideshow CK. I cannot retrieve the specific size we would need but what we are aiming at is to have the banner covering the entire footer and not leaving the small space to the right, as shown in the website screenshot.

Now, with my low level of knowledge of Joomla, I think that we would have to intervene on the template, for example from the menu in the screenshot below.

Inline images 1

Is this the correct way? Or should we only intervene on the Slideshow CK module?

Hope we gave you

Hello,

In fact, nothing to look at template if you want to change iCagenda events thumbnails ;-)

About the Global Options, i mean the button "Options" at the top right in the admin toolbar, when you are in iCagenda admin ;-)

There you will fin all options for iCagenda.
The iCagenda events thumbnails options are in the "General Settings" tab.

Is it ok about this ?

Regards,
Cyril
