[SOLVED] Frontend event adding was created by Candanz
Hello,

I want a specific group of users that can add events, through a front-end menu, much like the "New Article" menu-item, is there an easy way to accomplish this?

I already know how I can limit a menu or menu-item to a group, just need a way to add a menu item for iCagenda that allows users to add new events.

Is it still going to be available for Joomla 2.5? I have quite alot of extensions for 2.5, that still need to updates to 3.

Also another question,

Am I free to edit the module, so I can try making my own frontend form for it?(Non-purchased version)

Yes, of course, iCagenda will be still available for joomla 2.5 B)

I'm trying to make it works with joomla 2.5 and joomla 3 in the same extension, but still in developpement.

You are free to edit the files, and add changes, but becareful with update, which will overide your files.

Do you have some skill in developpement ?

Haha ofcourse I have skill in development,

I've been in it for 10 years now.
Just never have done anything with Joomla, so It'll be a day or two before I get into the Joomla structure of building something. But I'll manage.

Thanks for the heads up on it staying 2.5, and the heads up on the question if I was free to edit the files.

You just have to add a menu-item and to select type "submit an event" in type list...

I am new to Joomla and !Cagenda. I managed to give a specific user (no superuser) the rights to add an event. How can this user edit events? Can someone give me an explanation?

Hi!

When a new question, please first search on the forum, and have a look at the roadmap : www.joomlic.com/en/i-docs/roadmap

And when a new question with no answer found on the website, open a new post!

You will find the answer, and more, but just for your information, you making a confusion : it is a submission form, not a frontend event manager (this is not the same)

Regards,
Lyr!C
