[SOLVED] Problem with conflict JS was created by ninefix
Hi all, I've just installed the extension iCagenda on my website and when it become loaded into the page (linked to menu entry) the drop-down menus in the page stop working (press on it and nothing happen)

It seems a problem with libraries, like JS, that conflict with libraries loaded by template ifself

Is there a way to disable libreries loaded by iCagenda?

Any hint is welcome

Thanks so much

Hello,

Could you provide an online link?

Note: another extension may not load jQuery as it should (from Joomla core API or using at least a control).
But this could be due too to a bug in another script.

Are you on Joomla 3?

Best regards,
Cyril

Hi,

starting from here: develop.istitutotrento5.it/ictn5-current/

You can notice that the menu works as expected.

Then go here: develop.istitutotrento5.it/ictn5-current...w=events&Itemid=2675

where iCagenda is linked. You can notice that the menu is not working anymore

Joomla version: 4.4.0

Thansk very much

Hello,

Your site template is loading its own version of jQuery without checking if jQuery from Joomla API is already loaded.

So, on the page, jQuery library is loaded 2 times, and you have a conflict (resulting in jQuery not working).

Check if an option in your site template to have a noconflict mode or a way to use Joomla jQuery core version only.
If none, try to fix it with jQuery Easy plugin to fix loading of jQuery.

Tho it's always better to use Joomla jQuery as using correctly API of Joomla prevent such possible issue.

Hope this helps?

Best regards,
Cyril
