Hello,
Due to the fact iCagenda thumbnails library included can't generate thumbs from webp images, it would be better to have a third-party plugin that will replace images by webp auto-generated.
Note: i've planned to work on such a plugin too for iCagenda.
Best regards,
Cyril

Hello, I had such a plugin, that automatically makes a webp image of any jpg imageon the fly.
Actually I got rid of it when I switched to J5. Both the jpg and webp image were kept on the site. So I had every image in double. The gain in size was 20% for big jpg photos, but for small thumbs the webp size could be even bigger than the jpg. At last this one-function-specific-plugin has not been upgraded to J5.

As webp is a format favored by Google, they won't say that it's not always better
