new calendar problem was created by Sinswolf
Hello Marten,
I've got a problem with the new calendar module: I want to show only ongoing events, not events in the past. So I chosed in Event Settings  Filter > Full Date Range Event  Show Only Start Date as I did in the deprecated module. Nothing happened. So I turn the Use Menue Filter slider to Yes. The events int the past where no longer shown in the calendar, only the ongoing. Thats fine, but if I click on da day, no events where shown: No events for the day. What do I need to do to achieve my goal? Or is it a bug?

Hello,

So, first, who is "Marten" ;-)

About the settings "Full Date Range Event", this is used only for event with a period of multiple days, from ... to ... (start date + end date) but with no days of the week selected.
eg. from 26 Janurary 2026 to 2 February 2026 (this is a full period).

This option allows to display all days of this period, or only the first day (26 Janurary).

To display only upcoming events in the calendar module (and as not yet an option to set it directly in the module), you have to set a menu item of type "List of events", and select the Filter by Date on "Upcoming events".

Then, in the module calendar options, for the Link to menu option, select this specific menu item instead of default setting "auto", and set option "use menu filters" on yes.

Note: it is possible to have a slightly different behavior between iCagenda 3.9 and 4.0 in event's dates display as some functions were improved to get a more logical result in some specific cases, and you may have faced on of them.

Hope this helps?

Best regards,
Cyril

Hi Cyril,
sorry to call you Marten.
I change in the menu the Filter by Date on "Upcoming events" Instead of "Global(actual and upcoming events)" and it seems everything works correct.
Thanks for your help!
Regards Wolfgang

Hi Cyril, I was a little bit to fast for saying everything works now.
I'll show you my settings and the result in the attached images. I hope I made all your recommended settings and in the calendar now all upcoming events were shown. That's fine. But if I click on a day with upcoming events, the displayed list is empty. The old calendar modul works fine as expected.
iCagenda pro 4.0.2 (2026-01-21) is installed Regards Wolfgang
