Hello,
Thanks very much for a wonderful extension!
I have just one problem: how do I display a range of dates over which an event occurs so it can be something like 9th Aug 2012 - 15 Aug 2012.

Thanks lots for your help

It's a think im thinking about!

For the time, you have to enter all the dates.
The next release coming soon have a new logic for multi-dates event. The aim is to make possible 3 options for event :
- 1 date (ok)
- more than 1 date separated (ok)
- a begin date and an end date (to-do-list)

This is in To-do-list for a futur release.

Notice that all the dates of an event appears in the calendar, on only the next date appears (feature fixed in the release 1.1.5, coming soon!)

So, just be alert to future updates of the component ;)

I think, this date range (and repeating events) feature is the most important function for event management, that I'm missing in iCagenda – for events like trade affairs, campings, seminars etc. Your component is very nice, but with this „black box“ my clients say, that I have to search for another solution … that’s make me sad. I hope the next release will come asap.

For my opinion: If you seperate the dates and the event objects in the database, one event object can be shown on different dates, for example identified by an id.

Currently, this component is developped for free, and for personnal purpose.

Icagenda will grow up (for sure, as i'm working hard on it) but it takes times.

If you want to use it in a commercial purpose (for clients as eg.) you can developpe your own component, or use an other extension, but most of extension that can do it are commercial one.

But today iCagenda is in its development phase, and as a version (calendar component and module) which will remain free.
Volunteers who help me and a few donations keep me motivated to make iCagenda a component rich but easy to use. But it takes time to!

Thanks for your patience,
Lyr!C
