[VIEWED] map backend - setting "sattelite" missing was created by ichbins

Hallo,
thanks a lot for quick update to v2.1.8.

One question ... if i create an event (backend) and use the google map, there's only the possibility to preset the "map", but not the Icon "satellite". It's missing.
Tested with FF, Chrome and Safari, letest versions.

In frontend both icons are visible. I would like to preset "sattelite" view. Is there any possibilty?

It's not missing, i have disabled it, because was not used in front-end as a setting...

But, i will re-activate it in the next release, as an help to position the marker.

In the future, i will add function to be able to set satellite by default on front-end, when set in back-end ;-)

This function won't be in next release, but hope to developp it in may or june.

to be able to set satellite by default on front-end, when set in back-end

oooh, okay ... that was, what i had expected

... didn't thaught, that this is extra :oops:

I found out that there are places, i use for events - e.g. lots of hotel areas on the beach with less roads around - the map view looks very empty there. In satellite view you can see everything.

So this will be great to add this function.

Currently, i'm still learning about Google Maps, and still don't know how to get zoom or mapTypeId as set by user in admin map... But, i hope to find one day! ;-)
